LEA Honours Young Rising Star
London, England, 16 November 2015: London Executive Aviation (LEA) honoured young people who have overcome personal obstacles to get into employment this week, at The Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards in the East of England.
On 11 November 2015, hundreds gathered at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage to congratulate the young people whose lives have been turned around with the help of The Prince’s Trust.
George Galanopoulos, LEA’s managing director, presented Love Odjubi with the ‘London Executive Aviation Rising Star Award’, which recognises young people who, despite having faced substantial personal difficulties, are in sustainable employment as a result of a Prince’s Trust programme.
Love Odjubi struggled at school and left with no GCSEs. Her home life was difficult and she was forced to move to a hostel where she was left depressed, unmotivated and lacking in direction. In April 2014, a friend recommended The Prince’s Trust’s ‘Get into Health and Fitness’ programme and she went on to gain a Level 2 Apprenticeship with Active Luton, where she now works full-time as an activity assistant.
Presenting the award, George Galanopoulos said: “It is very humbling to be in the presence of so many brave and hard working young people. At LEA, we fly some of the UK’s most hard working people around the world, but all of those people have started somewhere, with their own beginning and own story. LEA is very proud to support The Prince’s Trust and I feel truly privileged to be presenting this particular award as recognition of Love’s own dedication and hard work in getting into sustainable employment.”
